We arrived in Chicago (Wheaton) on Tuesday evening after a very eventful trip that lasted 12 hours instead of 7 1/2. We had two girls with the stomach flu..... poor Emma threw up over 6 times (at least). But, we made it and are getting settled here in Wheaton.
Elizabeth has already started school here at Hawthorne Elementary School and is loving it. We will all go downtown today to spend the afternoon and evening with Jon. Our weeks will be busy with travels back and forth, but it will be nice to be together at least 1/2 of our time.

Hello, dear friends! We were able to get somewhat of an update on your precious family while Erik and Donna were living with us. What in the world?! We had no idea how crazy these last several months have been. We are thankful for knowing how we can be praying for you specifically when we make our consistent visits to D-land :) For some reason, we have been missing you a lot these last months. Now, I know it was the Holy Spirit directing our hearts toward your family in order that we would pray for you upon remembrance. The Thoennes' and we had a good time this last month reminiscing about "Elizabeth stories" - including, "my nose is on fire!" and "someone, help me! they're trying to kill me!" (the second incident was when Laila and Donna were trying to pull a splinter out of Elizabeth's finger at the Thoennes' house) We love you guys, Adam and Renee Shaeffer
